Stargate SG-1 Main Plot:
General Hammond summons Colonel Jack O'Neill out of retirement to embark on a secret rescue mission. O'Neill confesses that he disobeyed orders to destroy the Stargate on Planet Abydos, and that scientist Daniel Jackson may still be alive. Arriving on Abydos with his team, O'Neill meets up once again with the scientist, who has discovered a giant elaborate cartouche in hieroglyphics. All signs point to the fact that this is a map of many Stargates that exist throughout the galaxy - a development that makes the dream of the SG-1 team to travel throughout the universe in time a reality.

The Original Release Stargate SG-1 Teaser, Ripped from the Season 1 DVD collection.
10 years, over 200 episodes, and a spin-off. What's Next? well I'm told of 2 new stargate movies. The ark of trueth, and continuum. Hopefully both to be released "direct to disk" In 2008.
In The ark of trueth, SG-1 is supposed to have found a weapon in the ori galaxy that is capable of destroying the ori threat. So i figure they had to Finish out the t.v. series with a "bang". I've seen an interview with some of the cast and they make it sound interesting. I Personally can't wait to see the ark of trueth and see the SG team put an end to the "evil ori threat".
In Stargate Continuum, Well i havn't heard as much yet, however I have a feeling it's goin to be the Begining of a whole new series. Maby thats just some wishfull thinking - not sure. Well i've high hopes.
A Big ending and hopefully a New Beginning. What a thought, Actually after 10 seasons I still wasn't ready for it to be over. well hopefully it won't be. besides, Stargate Atlantis is a decent spin-off, But my personal opinion is that they've focused mainly on the wraith threat, and veared away from the "Tarins" and the discoverys that lie at hand. They've touch on some of the technology and some of their background. But I Think they sould have more. Yet Then again, I've always thought they never touched have the topics that could have been covered in the sg-1 series. (Hence my hopes for continuum)
